Hypnotherapy

What is RTT?

Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT) is a pioneering therapeutic approach developed by the world-renowned therapist Marisa Peer, who I have been trained by. It brings together the most powerful techniques from hypnotherapy, psychotherapy, NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), and cognitive behavioural therapy, all rolled into one incredibly effective session.

Think of RTT as a kind of friendly “reboot” for the mind. Rather than spending years talking about problems, RTT goes straight to the root cause of what’s getting in the way (often beliefs formed in early childhood that no longer serve us) and gently rewires them into something much more helpful.

The magic happens when the conscious mind takes a little rest and the subconscious mind gets to do the talking. And what it reveals is often surprising, always meaningful, and genuinely transformative.

Sessions typically last 2 hours, and many clients notice real shifts after just one or two sessions.

A Superpower for Young Minds

Children are actually brilliant candidates for RTT. Their minds are wonderfully open, imaginative, and flexible, which means positive change can happen quickly and beautifully.

If your child is struggling with anxiety, low confidence, school worries, sleep problems, or just seems a little “stuck”, RTT can help them understand why they feel the way they do, and swap those unhelpful feelings for ones that actually work for them.

My sessions with children are always age-appropriate, gentle, and even a little fun. We use relaxation, storytelling, and imagination to help young people feel safe and empowered. No couch, no notepad, no scary questions. Just a calm space where they get to be the hero of their own story.

Parents / carers are always kept in the loop, and sessions can be tailored around school schedules and little attention spans alike.

Anxiety, worry, panic (including school anxiety and social anxiety)

Fears and phobias

Why RTT Works So Well for Children

Here’s a little secret: most of our adult struggles can be traced back to beliefs we formed as young children, often before the age of eleven. RTT works with children in the moment, before those unhelpful beliefs have had time to settle in and become part of the wallpaper.

When a child learns, early on, that they are capable, loveable, and more than enough, that message sticks. It becomes the foundation they build everything else on.

RTT helps children to:

Understand that their feelings make sense, and that they’re not “broken”
Replace fearful or negative self-talk with kind, confident inner voices
Feel calmer, braver, and more in control
Sleep better, perform better, and just feel better

And because I use personalised audio recordings for children to listen to after their session (like a little bedtime story for the brain), the positive messages keep reinforcing themselves, gently, every single day.

What to Expect

Most parents / carers are surprised by how light the child feels after each session, there is a real shift in presentation and positive energy. Children often just want to go home and play, relax. Which, honestly, is exactly how it should be.

A Note for Parents / Carers

Booking therapy for your child can feel like a big step, and it’s completely normal to have questions. You know your child better than anyone, and your instinct that something isn’t quite right matters a lot.

RTT is not about labelling children or making a big deal out of their struggles. It’s simply about giving them a helping hand, in a safe and nurturing space, so they can get back to being brilliantly, wonderfully themselves.

If you’d like to have a chat before committing to anything, I’d love to hear from you. There’s absolutely no obligation, just a warm conversation about how I might be able to help.
